Like what I blogged (reblogged, rather), my family & I went to the Poveda Power (Povedan Outstanding in Work, Ethics and Reforms) Awards.

Preamble from the site: The POWER Awards is the highest honor bestowed by the Asociacion de Alumnas de Poveda Foundation, Inc. in recognition of outstanding Povedans who have excelled in various fields of endeavor. Conferred every four years by the AAP, the POWER Awards aim to inspire all Povedans to strive for excellence in their chosen field of endeavor. The awardees are individuals who espouse empowerment, uphold moral principles and good governance, advocate for reforms for the improvement of society, and promote national pride. This is the hallmark that distinguishes one who takes the challenge to live up to the legacy of St Pedro Poveda.

Went to the Poveda Power Awards today. Wore my 5-inch Aldo shoes for the second time ever & it didn’t hurt that bad. Maybe because we were seated most of the time.
